Our Pay’s Stearman is a model B75N1 and was manufactured in the US in 1941 and was first registered on the US civil register in 1964 and was exported to Australia in 1990 and civil registered as VH-YDF. It is painted in a US Navy training colour scheme from late World War II.
Our Stearman flies regularly and is available for flights!
This is ideal for someone who would like to enjoy the speed and the sound of a roaring radial engine in a genuine military trainer. If you are feeling adventurous there is an option of doing aerobatics.

OTHER INFORMATION
Please select your departure time preference for either morning or afternoon - Note: When booking a "Share with Others" option, we need to maximise seating capacity (maximum of 4 passengers per mission), therefore after booking, we may contact you to vary your departure time. For instance, If we were to receive a booking for one passenger at 10am and two passengers at 2pm (for the same day) then we would group these together. Note: Maximum passenger weight of 115kg (per person) applies and 200kg when booking for two.
If the minimum mission participants (passengers) requirement is not met for your requested time preference, then you will be offered the next available time slot available (so a degree of flexibility may be required). If we are unable to provide the service for your chosen day and you are unable to fly any other day, you will not be charged.
SPECTATOR INFO
Only passengers are allowed in the Terminal & Airside, however spectators are welcome to watch your flight depart/arrive from outside the building.
CHECK-IN TIME
We request that all mission participants check-in 15 minutes prior to departure. Note: We always endeavour to get away on time, however on occasions, flight departure times can vary due to operational considerations. Please allow for this contingency in your schedule.

Experience the magic & the adrenaline rush of aerobatic flight aboard our Pitts Special biplane with one of Australia’s champion competition pilots!
In this 45 minute flight you will transition from basic loops and rolls to adrenaline-packed advanced aerobatic routines!
After a short pre-flight safety briefing, your pilot will strap you in and you’ll be on your way! After take-off you will take in the sights of western Sydney and the foothills of the Blue Mountains on the way to the aerobatic area.
Once in the aerobatic area, your pilot will start with the basics of the loop and roll,before moving into more complicated and dynamic aerial manoeuvres such ashesitation rolls, the “Cuban eight” and “Immelmann,”
You will then experience the true aerobatic magic of the Pitts Special with spins, snap rolls, tail-slides and advanced aerobatic routines before returning for a landing.
With speeds up to 300 kph just 500m above the ground and G-forces up to 6 G’s, it’s an experience you won’t forget!

Winjeel A85-426 is a former RAAF Forward Air Control Aircraft that operated extensively in the Hunter Valley from their base at RAAF Williamtown. The first Winjeel was designed and developed by CAC in Victoria which was completed in 1951 to deliver the requirement for an aircraft to fulfil the basic training role previously carried out by the Tiger Moth and later the CAC Wirraway. The A85-426 was the 26th Winjeel produced and was delivered to the RAAF in June 1956. It was later converted from the training role to a Forward Air Control aircraft through the installation of smoke bomb racks and sights, upgraded radio equipment and aerials and camouflage markings.

Departing from our helipad at Bankstown Airport, we fly North past Sydney Olympic Park. Your friendly pilot will provide a running commentary of the flight while you take in the spectacular sights of Parramatta River followed by an amazing panoramic view of Sydney CBD as you enter the harbour.
From the comfort of one of HTT's modern helicopters you can take photos of the Bridge and Opera House as we circle the harbour. At 1000 feet (about 300m) we're at the perfect height for some once in a lifetime photo opportunities.
We then head back up the Paramatta River and over Olympic Park as we return to Bankstown Airport. You're welcome to come and enjoy tea and coffee back at our hangar and have your photo taken with our helicopters on the ground as well. Total flight time is approximately 30 minutes but the memories last forever.
